Presenter: David Barrington
What does the future hold for funeral celebrants? What effect will regulation have? What effect will Direct Cremation have? Just some of the important questions for funeral celebrants at the moment. As President of the NAFD from May 2019, David Barrington is at the forefront of industry changes and will provide valuable insight into what will shape the forthcoming years in the industry.
About David:
David Barrington is the National Association of Funeral Directors; First Vice President and he will become the President in May. He is the director of Barrington’s Funeral Services Ltd in Liverpool, a family run business founded in 1949 by his father. Within the NAFD he is a member of the Executive Committee and also the Committee for Professional Standards which is responsible for the inspections and complaints for NAFD members. He holds the Diploma in Funeral Directing and is an NAFD Approved Tutor. David also represents NAFD on the Funeral Celebrancy Council. David has extensive experience in the funeral industry. The loss of his mum at 11 years old has shaped how he feels funerals should be arranged and conducted with the deceased and their loved ones at the centre.
